People relocate to 'Happy Home' in Qinhan

The ceremony for the first relocation of people to "Happy Home" was held on Jan 3 in Nanwei township, Qinhan New City, Xixian New Area, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Yang Zhanwen, Party secretary of Qinhan New City and director of the new city's administrative committee, and Wang Longchao, deputy director of the poverty relief office of Xixian New Area, attended the ceremony. Yang Zhancheng, member of the Party committee of Xixian and deputy director of the Xixian administrative committee, presided over the ceremony.
"Happy Home", the first relocation demonstration center in Qinhan New City, is a key livelihood project aimed at alleviating poverty, receiving a total of more than 600 million yuan ($89.63 million) in investments and having a total land area of 9.3 mu (0.62 hectare).
Construction began on July 7, 2017 and was completed on Dec 20 of the same year. It is expected to resettle 22 people from 24 impoverished households.
Living facilities in the center are fully equipped. In addition, there are seven full-time service staff members responsible for the daily management of the center who provide basic services for residents.
Accommodation conditions achieve basic living standards, and 11 people from 10 households have already moved in.
Yang Zhanwen inspected the environment of the resettlement site, congratulated the relocating residents and extended his best wishes to them.
