Xixian seeks further development through study tours
A delegation from Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, conducted a study tour of Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanjing and Suzhou from Aug 6 to 12.
Led by Wang Yongkang, Xi'an municipal Party secretary, the delegation aimed to draw upon the experiences of the top cities in China with high levels of financial development, and support for innovation and entrepreneurship, to further develop the Xixian New Area.
Yue Huafeng, director of the Xixian administrative committee, and other officials from the Xixian New Area were also in attendance.
Chengdu International Railway Port, the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, Suzhou Biomedical Industrial Park and one of the largest innovation and entrepreneurship platforms in China, zbj.com, were on the visitation schedule.
By comparing the economic development of Xixian with financially-developed cities, the delegation formed plans to fill gaps, polish benchmarks and improve qualities in the work of the Xixian New Area.
According to Yue, the cities visited feature a wide vision, bold innovation and strong momentum. Xixian should increase efforts to keep up with other cities through reforms and innovative measures, emphasizing industrial development, ecological protection and urban construction.
