Qinhan New City targets poverty alleviation
Qinhan New City in Xixian, Xi'an, recently completed the first phase of its targeted poverty alleviation program, identifying 487 low-income families. Qinhan has selected 487 staff members to aid these families on a one-to-one basis.
The officials will visit families and assess their current situations, their difficulties and attempt to understand the causes of poverty. Officials will also verify population numbers and the financial status of families to guarantee the accuracy of reported data.
Before June 20, after all information has been verified, officials will devise a detailed support program based on families' needs. The staff members will propose preferential policies and execute their plans from July 1, analyzing results of their inspections before the end of September to ensure improvements can be made by the end of October.
Qinhan aims to popularize poverty support methods and establish a permanent mechanism to help those in poverty as early as possible.
