Shaanxi FTZ accelerates Xixian development
As an important part of the country’s Belt and Road Initiative, the China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Shaanxi FTZ) was launched on April 1, further accelerating the development of Xixian New Area.
Chen Jianming, an investor in the area said the FTZ was a major step forward.
“We’ve registered an international trade company in Xixian and rent a bonded warehouse in Konggang New City,” Chen said. “Due to policy restrictions, our cross border e-commerce business was stuck, but the launch of the FTZ will bring more preferential policies to Xixian.”
According to Xixian’s development plan, the new area will focus on promoting the modern service industry. In March, a Shaanxi provincial language service platform went online in Xixian’s Qinhan New City, aiming to reduce communication difficulties and accelerate trade between Xixian and countries in Asia and Europe.
As a new center of the greater Xi’an area (including Xi’an, Xianyang and Xixian New Area), Xixian will work to further develop the Shaanxi FTZ.
“Xixian has plenty resources in the aviation economy, cultural communication and energy finance,” said Yu Jianhong, deputy director of Xixian New Area administrative committee.
