Shaanxi FTZ to accelerate Xixian development
The long-awaited China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone was launched on April 1, fueling the further development of the Xixian New Area.
Parts of Xixian’s four functional areas - the Airport New City, Fengdong New City, Qinhan New City and the Financial Center for Energy Trading - will be under the Shaanxi FTZ’s jurisdiction.
To forge a competitive edge in western China, Xixian will focus on strategic emerging industries and modern service industries, including aviation logistics, healthcare, cultural tourism and financial trade.
The government will exert its full energy in providing highly efficient service by cutting red tape and streamlining many processes and procedures, according to Yu Jianhong, vice director of the administrative committee of the Xixian New Area.
Xixian will provide services of international trade to facilitate export rebates and customs clearance. It will also open one-stop integrated services for enterprises seeking international cooperation.
The Xixian New Area is expected to give a persistent boost the FTZ, becoming a new engine of development in Shaanxi province, according to the Xixian authorities.
