Concord College of Sino-Canada
Concord College of Sino-Canada is the first international educational institution approved by the Ministry of Education in China. Since its establishment in 1997, the college has opened over 20 branches in China such as Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada and the Canadian International School of Beijing, which is located in many other cities as well including Shenzhen, Anhui, Changsha, Guiyang, Harbin, Lanzhou, Kunming and Hefei.
Fengdong Concord College of Sino-Canada is reportedly the first modern international school set up by Concord College in Shaanxi Province. It includes an elementary school, a junior or middle school and a senior high school, which independently enroll students from the province; the students also include foreign students studying in China and children of overseas Chinese. Fengdong’s elementary and junior high schools follow the CC Sino-Canada and IP international curricula, exposing students to teaching modes that represent the essence of Chinese and Western education. The senior high school has double school enrolment and double credit management. Students are enrolled in both Chinese and Canadian senior high schools. The curriculum follows the Chinese syllabus and the Canadian credit curriculum.
The school takes advantage of winter and summer holidays to hold special camps and regularly organizes visits to Canadian cities and universities for Chinese students while Canadian educational departments organize student visits to China. The institutions jointly carry out exchange activities and form an ‘internal and external’ international education atmosphere.
